Tactile Abstractions
To reclaim physicality for paint, I explore unique tools, such as cake piping equipment, carving down layers of paint, and foam filling, to apply paint without brushes, creating works with physical dimensionality and movement that neither conventional painting nor digital art can achieve, evoking other media from traditional fibers to modern network wires, and blurring the edge between painting, relief, and sculpture.
